summer goal

ok basically i set a goal of hitting a 12 second 1/4 mile run, not a 12 flat, just somewhere in the 12's. what do i need to get to this point? my current best time is 14.194@ 99.23

How much money do you have? Here's a small list to get you started:
1. Larger turbo, i hear the hybrids will work.
2. Larger fuel injectors 1600cc all around.
3. bridgeport.
4. full custom high flow exhaust.
5. Standalone ECU.
6 Upgraded fuel system.
7. Umm...there's more to be done. Bascially you're going to need to break the 300hp mark, which is costly.

heres what i'm thinking to break 300hp,
1. rebuild w/ street port, 3mm apex seals, cryogenic treatment
2. to4 exhaust manifold
3. some sort of to4 turbo
4. custom fmic
5. full turbo back 3" w/ 1 muffler
6. 720cc primary 1300cc secondary, 2 walbro 255lph, fpr
7. haltech e6k
8. jacobs rotary pro pack

I've heard that the cryo treatment isn't good for rotaries. Not certain because i haven't had it done, but there was a thread about it...

haha, that'll put you WAY over the 300 mark, more like 400, but yeah, you have the right idea

Glad to hear that you're thinking T04 and not a hybrid, I'd suggest the generic 60-1 with a 1.0 divided hotside. It's proven, effective and relativley inexpensive.

FWIW, that stuff really adds up, and guaranteed it's the "little" things that will get you misc connectors, fittings, wires, etc that really add up and tend to be lost in the initial $$ calcs.

On the injectors, I'd recomend the 1600's. It'll require modifying your fuel rail, but they will be less prone to failure than a bored out 720 IE 1200, 1300, etc.

Also, you don't need twin walboro's. My single rx7.com pump supported nearly 470 HP FWIW.

Just remember, tunning is the key. Get a wideband or find someone who does.

400 RWHP is the generall ball park of HP numbers with the mods that you listed. That'll be +/-20HP depending on exactly what you do, who tunes it etc.

you could make your car more efficient. But i know people who have ran 12's with just an S-AFC. Slicks will help you out BIG time. It's safe to say about 1/2 a second. what are your current mods?
