actually when I had this done, I was aware of the loss of harder bass if i had them built like that. I actually wanted that. I'm not big into showing off my sound system too much so i like the noise to stay inside and not rattle anything. With the way my system is I get my low end and I don't get any vibration's from the outside of the car, you can hear the bass a little at really high volumes, but i rarely get it there. I'm probably the only person alive who would position his speakers to loose sound on purpose
