Stupid people hurt my FC

Short story.

Got to work at noon. Left for lunch break at 4:15. Front bumper has nice scrapes and missing paint. Red and gray two-tone now.

Stupid &%&^ people who don't know how to drive.

Now I need to look into either re-painting my stock S4 skin or think about getting a S5 and having that installed. If I get a good condition red S5 skin, I can just bolt it on. Otherwise, money spent repainting a slightly damaged S4 skin. My bumper skin had a small crack underneath the driver side brake duct. Could only be seen from underneath.

What do you guys think? Red S5 or repaint the S4?

I do have all my black moldings in place....

The only thing I am worrying about getting a S5 skin for is the fact of paying more money for a skin on top of it not matching my paint job good enough.

I could live with a slight mis-match of shades of red for a while (till like March or something) before repainting it.

I will keep pricing it out. Just had to vent a bit about it happening. And my dual A-pillar gauge pod showed up today from the RX7 Store too. My Autometer gauges are at my parent's place, I ordered them through the local parts store there a couple days ago.....

Oh well. **** happens I guess.....

the problem with getting the S5 bumper skin is it looks silly unless you get the fenders too. And if your body trim is still black, it also looks kinda weird.

Good luck finding a s5 skin without dents and with good paint. If you can find one go for it! but you might have to re-paint anyways. Save money: repaint the s4, go for looks: find/paint s5.

First time I've heard that, based on the first point you make. It's a bolt on, as you mentioned, and It still retains complete curvature when the s5 Bumper Is mounted.

There's even more problems here:

The paint color for the red S5 will not match your S4 paint color(ie. blaze red versus sunrise red.)

Furthermore, the bumper trim, even if painted body color, still wouldn't match the s5 trim, as the "pattern" of the grooves are not the same.

I would repair/repaint the s4 nose. It's cheaper and it'll match better.

The paint isn't Blaze Red on my car.

I repainted the car 94 GM Torch Red, which is a brighter red than the original. It looks just like the S5 Sunrise Red.

I am thinking that I will buy an S5 bumper and have it repainted. The slight molding mismatch will be fine, b/c I will have that painted black to match.

The poll is pretty much solid S5 votes.....which is what I thought it turn out like.

FYI, S5 is Blaze Red, S4 is Sunrise Red. Hope it turns out good!
