stumped- fuel in oil filter only

Ok, I replaced my oil filter and it was diluted with fuel... but only at the oil filter.

Oil in the pan had no fuel dilution or fuel smell... I'm at a loss lol... any ideas?

That doesn't make sense. I doubt it's only in the filter, if it actually is there. You probably have no problem, just thinking that you do.

Don't worry, there's fuel in ALL of your oil, not just at your filter.

You either have a very rich choke or a plugged cat ,or low compression, bad spark plugs,or bad coil or wires... try a new filter and re-test if it does it again. If you want ,you could get the oil from the (oil pan) and filter tested for fuel(buy the test kit)...............flooded engines tend to wash of the oil from the compression chamber and force it past the oil control Rings and into the oil flowing from the e-shaft into the Pan

I'm betting that the filter just smells like concentrated fuel because it has permeated the filter media.
