Any ideas on how to get this out? The L2 Spark plug is stuck.. good.. I can't put enough torque on it myself to get it out, neither can a friend of mine... The plug is super super fouled, and is not going to start the car until I replace it..

Have you tried soaking it overnight with some liquid wrench or other super penetrant yet?

i dont know for sure how sturdy the block is, but you could get a breaker bar and a 4ft tube and but over it and break the sucker out, might be too much for the block to handel tho.

Soak it overnight and get more torque on it, that is really your only option.

Soak it, then tap the wrench with a hammer to loosen it.. then try to take it out.

ok.. I'd use a breaker bar, except I have a turbo with p/s and a/c.. so there's just NO ROOM down there for ANYTHING...

I haven't soaked it or anything yet... I'll soak it a few times in the coming week or two and try it again.. it's not really a major issue speedwise for me, the car isn't moving again till march or april, probably...

I had the same problem with a pathfinder couple years ago. Something a couple people told me was to do it cold. Usually you can heat seized parts up to help expand the air gap between them, but with a steel plug and an aluminum housing, they expand at different rates. Best solution was to let it soak in penetrating fluid and use an impact gun dialed down. The hammering action worked, but watch out, if anything is going to strip, it'll likely be the housing. Good luck trying to get the impact gun in there though, I'd try the old wrench and big hammer on it.

It's more accessable from underneath if you've got AC/PS. I had fits of rage trying to get the torque wrench on the L2 plug from up top.

damn.. is a spark plug even suppose to be in that tight? wtf

Try some type of penetrating oil overnight or for a couple of hours. that should work. and when you go to install new plugs , use anti seize

It's suppose to be 9 to 13 ft-lbs which Is not much. I lost an EGT Sensor In my former NA Exhaust due to the lack of anti-seize compound. I have It In their now, aswell as In the Spark Plugs, bolts to entire Exhuast System etc.

I'd heat It up and be very patient. It seems like a dicey situation.
