Stripped Drain Plug
I went to look under my car to drain the radiator from the drain plug for the first time since i had this basemodel rx-7 for six months to drain the radiator and i find that it looks like some one used a phillips head to put it back and stripped the hell out of it. Its not leaking but i need advice to be able to get it out.

Take a flathead screwdriver, heat it up with a propane torch, or even a bic lighter, get it red hot, push the sob into old slot, hold it for 30 seconds, and take the old plug out. Simple!

I've done this so many times...Most people don't change their coolant so they lock in place...
If it's stripped, then jam a flathead in there (use a big one) as already suggested. That has always worked for me. Penetrating oil will help somewhat but the plastic has a LOT of friction when you try to unscrew so you may have to carefully Dremel out the existing plug, clean up the threads and then get a replacement.

don't listen to these lug nuts...
just drain it by removing the lower radiator hose. you stand a better chance of destroying the radiator if you try to remove it than you do if you just leave it alone and i'm sure you are on a budget like most people are and a new radiator doesn't fit into that budget. you can also drain the system with the block drain at the driver's side engine mount.
