Street Porting Cost

Just wondering how much a street port SHOULD cost from a reputable shop.

Reason being is I was looking at turboing it but I don’t want to possibly mess up the internals if they are bad (no reason to think they are bad, just don’t want to screw up my daily driver bad).

Also, if I pay someone from top to bottom to turbo my car, how much do you think it'll cost? (Say somewhere like Gotham Racing or whatever).

I can do the bolt turning but the custom fabbing and tuning is what I can't do!

well, to port it you wont have the choice to crack the engine open.

While you're there, why not simply replace every thing and make a good rebuild???

I wouldn't expect anything under 5000-7500$ to turbo your N/A car the right way ( like Aaron Cake did ) I mean, fuel controller, custom fabbing of oil and water line etc etc etc

Yeah, that was my intentions with a street port was to get the power I want before dropping a *** load of money on turboing.

I'd generally charge ~$500 in labor to turbo an n/a and get it running well.

So, you would be willing to get the car running well for $500 granted I had all the parts?

Depends on the setup you're going with really, if it's standalone it'd be higher, but if you run say an SAFC and a TII ecu, then yeah that's about right.

LOL, I'd suggest then a stock TII ecu setup (harness/ECU/afm/pressure sensor), that should do you pretty well.

Alright,

Do you happen to have a list of what all parts I need so I can start hunting?

What kinda work needs to be done to it? And is this dropped into an FB? I've got VERY little experience with FB's, but if you need someone to give you a hand putting the motor together and such, shoot me a PM on AIM.
