Porting is done when the engine is disassembled. So it is generally a few hundred dollars on top of the cost of the rebuild.

On NA cars, expect about 20%. On turbo cars, it all depends on the turbo and boost level.

how close are you to your next rebuild? honestly, it's not worth it unless you have the money already in hand.

 

not my thread...but id like to know this as well...mine is also N/A and i was planning on doing it on my next engine when this one goes out the door (111127 miles and still going)

 

If you already have the engine apart, you might as well port it. And if you do it yourself, its free.
