Street Port 90N/A + SAFC
I was wondering if anybody has streetported their 6port N/A? And what you did to increase fuel. I plan to streetport my 90 N/A and manage the fuel with an SAFC? Is this enough or will it even work? And is it worth the power increase? And is there any precautions or anything I should be aware of before I do this. My engine is a Mazda rebuild with 20Km on it so I don't need a rebuild kit but I do need gaskets/seals etc. How much will these gaskets/seals cost?

Well, That's what I have.
You shouldn't really need an S-AFC...
You MAY need a bigger (TII) fuel pump... but the injectors are OK... but working a little bit.
I went for the whole deal when I did me engine... 3mm seals, race bearings, the works... it pulls STRONG to 9000... I also have a butload of other stuff. (see sig for some of it)
The main reason I have a full TII fuel system is that I am putting in a turbo soon.
With a street port, you MUST have a free flowing exhaust, and intake. Porting the intake manfold doesn't hurt at all either.
Without doing this, you will simply lose low end torque... without gaining the high end!!
ANyways... you will notice an improvement above 5000... but not some crazy amount.. about 25 HP or so anyways... It's worth it if you have the engine out already, but I wouldn't remove and dissassamble the engine JUST to port it!
A lot of work for 25 HP...
Anyways... the way it is now.... and I havn't tuned it with the AFC yet (in in a few days) I run very low 14's.... may touch 13's with a few other things before I get the turbo on.. but I am not sure.
Good luck.

Hey thanks for the help
So I need an intake and exhaust eh? I was hoping not to spend the money on that but I guess it wouldn't hurt. I don't mind tearing the engine apart (I intend to do the porting myself-don't laugh), I juss wanna be kool okay. The amount of work doesn't bother me but I'd like to run 14s like you. You run in the ISDS events?

Definetly not worth pulling a good engine apart just to port it a little. Would suggest getting you exhaust completely redone. You might also consider putting your car on a diet. HP cost a lot more than removing your spare tire, AC, PS, install some light weight seats, etc.....

I suggest if u wanna run 14's go for the holley 4 bbl 650 carb with a racing beat or jay tech intake manifold(whichever you can get your hands on) that'll bring ur timeslips to low 15's and then get a true dual exhaust.. racing beat header and your set.... i agree FPREP... its too much trouble to take the engine apart for street port and then buy new gaskets all over... just my opinion

Full intake and exhaust will get you into high 14's. Put your car on a diet, and you can see mid 14's all day long. You would be better off spending your money on bolt-ons than just pulling and porting your motor. If youre itchy to use a grinder, port your intake manifold, its good for a bigger increase in hp than the full exhaust.
