strange smoke???

Well my car used to lack power and smoke ALOT (white smoke) ~4k rpms like clockwork. It was so bad the people behind be actaully turned on their headlights once. Rotarygod noticed that the coolant temp sensor was broken so i replaced that. Now, it has more power in the upper rpms but it still smokes alittle. Not near as much but it still does and at the same rpms it used to. It's strange that it only does it at higher rpms So now I dont know where to start. Anyone else had this happen? If so how did you cure it?

Thanks

Oil control seal, or turbo.

What does it smell like? How much oil do you use up every 1k miles?

Only fix would be rebuild engine if its the oil control seals, or if its from the turbo, take it out and clean up the drainage path and tube to make sure nothing is clogged.. or rebuild the turbo if the rear oil seal is bad.

Edit:

Well since you say its an N/A check oil level and see how much it uses. Could be oil control seal on the rotor.

if it's white smoke then it's water/coolant. My guess would be seals are dying....

but if it was coolant seals, than why only smoke at higher rpms?

Smoking higher rmps will be more of an oil control seal problem on the rotor as I mentioned above... rmps go up, oil pressure goes up, and rotor is moving faster so it doesn't make a good enough seal and oil seeps into the intake stroke being burnt out the exhuast..

Yeah but how does oil create white smoke through the exhaust? SHouldnt it be blue? I have sort of the same problem on my 13B NA, normal shifts no smoke, WOT and it smokes like crazy but just when you accelerate.
