Strange knocking sound from Power Steering pulley
Anyone got any clues to this? I thought maybe there was no fluid, but I checked after, and there's more than plenty in there. Not sure if it's the pulley, or the pump itself, but figured it couldn't hurt to get some opinions before I start taking stuff apart.

Well, I'm dumb. The video uploaded but I guess it didn't publish.
Anyways, update on this. I'm pretty sure it was the pump bearings that were shot. I took the pump off the parts car and put it on, and the sound has gone away. Without that sound, however, I hear another one. And this one is familiar, because it also happened with the old transmission.
It's like a whirring noise when the clutch is out, but it goes away when I push the clutch in. It doesn't seem to cause any issues when driving, outside of that noise. But i for the life of me can't figure out what it could be. I first though the throwout bearing, but after hearing that problem in some other videos, I no long think that, and am completely stumped.
Here's a vid of it, and hopefully it'll publish this time!

As for the the second one, you think it's the throwout bearing as well? I only really thought it because when the previous owner did the last clutch change, he had to chisel out the old bearing, and I'm pretty sure he smacked into the e-shaft a fair bit while doing so. So I'd be fine with just leaving it like that till the next clutch change? Or should I have it fixed ASAP?
As well, just a quick side-question. After putting the new tranny in, I filled it with generic 80w-90 GL5 oil. Seems like the tranny is running a bit hotter than the last one, and I was curious if that could be a reason as to why.

the throw out bearing is on the clutch fork and not in the Eshaft.
That part is the PILOT bearing. When that goes the car can remain in gear and your clutch is basically useless as The seized bearing "mates" the Eshaft to the Trans.
As for leaving it until the next clutch change..that is up to you and how often you like to Misuse the clutch!
I've had throw out bearing give me noise from brand new...and again I've installed Bearings that were defective and you can tell that they are,as they pretty well make a stupid racket that make you wanna sledge hammer the trans and reach in and grab it!

If that's the case, then I'll probably order one along with some GL4 tranny oil and a braided clutch slave line to replace the cracking rubber one, and then replace it all at once. Hopefully within the month!
Have the last pilot bearing we had to get out as thanks.

Have a look at this thread. This guy just rebuilt his ps pump. Things are just getting old, and these ball bearings weren't meant to last forever, especially after they have sat for a while. Good thing is that bearings are a commodity item and this should be a piece of cake if you're patient and careful
