Turbo fins damaged

So i have an S5 t2 and the turbine on the turbo has chipped fins from an Apex seal and the shaft has play. I was going to send it to bnr to be built into a hybrid but I can't afford all the supporting mods for the extra power. It's 1000~ for the hybrid and they replace the turbine and the compressor wheels as well with the chra. I was wondering if anyone knows if you can buy a new chra that will fit with the stock components or anything that doesn't involve getting a whole new turbo? I'm looking for something more affordable than a whole turbo upgrade. Thanks

Contact BNR and ask if the will rebuild your turbo to OEM specs.

I also have been told it's possible to fit a Garrett ta34 p/n 451311-0002 451314-0002 Garrett TA34 P/N 451311-0002 451314-0002 Turbocharger Turbine Shaft Wheel NEW | eBay and then just send it off to get balanced, I was wondering had anyone done this?

Bnr just got back to me, they said they only upgrade them. Anyone know if a bnr stage 2 would be safe to run at about 8psi? I'm willing to rebuild the oem if that turbine is compatible.
My car has a jdm S5 engine that im rebuilding right now.

It has a bigger fuel pump (it has no brand on it so I'm worried it might be from eBay)
turbo back free flow exaust
a fcd
A k&n cone filter
Fuel pressure regulator
Manual boost controller
Pretty much all else is stock

I can't believe BNR can't put on a stock turbine. They have OEM turbines coming in (and discarded) for BNR upgrades.

The TA34 fits but has a slight gap from the outer minor diameter to the housing wall. It is not exactly like stock, and is probably significantly more flow-oriented than stock. I supplied a TA34 wheel to BNR and they built my hybrid with it.

With those mods, you should be able to support 8psi. Perhaps raise your base fuel pressure if you are just going to do it blind. I recommend an RTek ecu or something to control fuel, and a wideband O2 with something to log it (Rtek 2.0 can log a wideband). These engines can go pop from one lean event. Its your choice.

A major concern is boost creep from the big intake and exhaust. An S4 turbo will probably creep. S5 might creep. A BNR staged turbo comes modified to handle boost without creep. You can port the wastegate yourself, but a big port with a modified flapper (like BNR) is best.

Welcome to snowballing modifications.

BTW, the new BNR staged turbos all get new CHRAs and new turbines.

Im willing to spend the 1000 on the stage 2 so long as running it on low boost ~8psi wont be too much power than the fuel/ignition system can handle. Id like to have it running and driveable in a couple months and dont have the money right now to upgrade everything, ill look into the rtek anyway as thats not a bad idea

So i think it just works out better for me if i buy the garrett turbine and rebuild the turbo, the only issue im having is i cant find a decent place to send the turbo off to get rebalanced. Anyone have any experience with this?

Heavy trucks need turbo maintenance like us. You might be able to find a local place.

So i went and bought the turbine (garrett ta34 p/n 451311-0002 451314-0002) as someone said its been successfully used before. It fits on the exhaust side but on the compressor side it doesnt quite fit through the thrust collar or the thrust spacer. It doesnt fit through the compressor wheel or the lock nut... heres a link to the product : http://m.ebay.ca/itm/Garrett-TA34-P-N-451311-0002-451314-0002-Turbocharger-Turbine-Shaft-Wheel-NEW-/282590893519?hash=item41cbbad5cf%3Ag%3AzY8AAOSw7aB VE7Bu&_trkparms=pageci%253Ac757bfe9-7738-11e7-a001-74dbd180d1fd%257Cparentrq%253Aa124f63515d0a860b4a9 8f88fff997b1%257Ciid%253A1

So if theres no way i can make this work i can just get a different one, does anyone know of one that will work fine, not neccesarilly the same as stock but one that will work and bolt up without having to machine the shaft smaller? Thanks

Not sure if you allready fully disassembled the turbo or not yet. But I've had turbos that have been used on several engines that blew apex seals, and has damage to the exhaust fins(near the base) and it has still boosted fine for 30k miles, but just spools slightly slower. take a picture of the damage? Are all the fins damaged in the exact same pattern?
