Strange goop in oil cap.
Info about the car in case it is relevant. 1987 S4 hatch, stock S4 N/A 13b, recent rebuild, t2 trans, full emissions delete, OMP retained but still running about 1/2oz. per gallon of premix, full RB road race exhaust.
So today I was trying to sort out why my water temperature gauge isn't working (couldn't figure it out by the way) and I was just looking around the bay, checking this and that. Opened the oil cap and there was this weird goo stuff on the inside portion of the cap. It almost looks like sour cream. I peered down the filler neck with a light and I don't see it anywhere other then the cap. Car seems to run and idle as per usual. No difference in oil pressure. I'm just worried seeing this gunk where my oil is supposed to go. Dipstick is fine, and oil only has about 500-600 miles on it. No idea what to really think of this. Would like some input as to whether my concerns are valid, or if I'm just worrying for nothing like usual.
Picture of said sour cream.

Glad to hear that. Makes sense since the car was driven just down the road and back the past couple day. Thanks so much. Now I can get back to finding that temp gauge issue without worry.

No idea to be honest with you. Previous owner did the whole rebuild and the delete. He said it was a full delete of all emissions equipment with the exception of the OMP. He even deleted power steering and converted to a manual rack. (which I kind of wish he wouldn't have done) Back on topic though, no. I don't think PCV is hooked up.
