NH strange electrical issue. car down. help!

so just got my car on the road and it was having a problem where it would run right, but shortly after driving it would hit a rev ceiling. about 3K rpms or 3.5K rpms. but below that it ran great. got it to the gas station filled it up with some 93 drove to my buddies to show him the car and when i left it has come out of it and ran beautiful, good idle, no problems. well no problems except that the car would but off, but i just shut off my fuel pump via toggleswitch to shut it off. drove it around for a couple hours all went well and parked it in my driveway. changed nothing this morning went to leave and it was back to this 3K rpm ceiling and had a surging idle 1-1.5K rpm but it had came out of it before so i said screw it and drove it anyways. well over the course of an hour and a half of driving it got progressively worse. if i shut off the car i could get like 20 seconds are normal driving before it would go back into this screwed up mode. the rpm ceiling went from 2.5k to 2.2, 2, 1.8 and 1.5K rpms before it wouldnt even rev, just move by the power of idle at which point i limped it to a friends house luckily close by.

what the heck could be happening?

i have tried 2 different ecu's
any sensors which cause cause this by their failure?

also why my car wont shut off via the ignition would be nice to know..

setup:
88 n/a with tII swap-s4 n/a harness, s4 TII motor, s4 tII ecu,
stock primary injectors, 720 secondarys(all injectors low impedance, 10 watt-10ohm resistors wired in just before ecu)', walboro 255 fuel pump(wired strait to battery terminal with in car switch), adjustable FPR at ~40 psi
msd wires, msd 6a, e-fan(wired to accessory power via the ignition), FD alternator
no emmisions, modified throttlebody,
intake, full exhaust, manual boot controller, twin scroll removed, ported wastegate, BOV
boost, narrowband afr and oil pressure gauges wired into accessory power via ignition switch

I'm confused by the issue you are having as well. I don't have much of an answer, but after reading your setup may I suggest running the fuel pump through a relay and a circuit breaker before you burn it or the wiring up, as well as your e-fan. Ask me how I know.

Maybe check that the throttle cable is properly attached to the throttle body?

yeah the issue is hard to explain. it would run right up to a certain rpm then the engine tone would change and all power was lost, in a free rev it would make it maybe 1000 rpm's high than it would under load. if i let off the throttle it and drop below that rpm it will run fine. if i shut the car off and start it again it will run perfectly for about 20 seconds where the ecu must be doing somethign and it wont rev past that certain point again. however "that rpm" changed progressively from 3500rpms to 1500 rpms at which point it was undrivable and now shutting the car off and turnign it back on doesnt even give me that 20 second window of normal running to get going.

and i had the fan on a relay but it wasnt working and i just got the car running right yesterday and i needed a fan so i wired it to switched as a temp bandaid. thanks though haha

when i go see the car tomorrow ill check the throttle cable, but that certainly isnt the root of the issue. its gone from running right to shitbox while im at constant throttle then fixes once i get back on it again only to turn shitbox.

any ideas on what parts could even try to cause somehting like this by malfunctioning? i have tons of spare parts, time and money to spend on it, it's just what is doing it is a mystery to me.

Sounds like a problem I had with my newest 7. It wouldnt go above 3500 rpm and would bog or have a hessitation at 1500 rpm. Car would drive fine one day then will only drive for 5 to 10 mins the next day. I re-grounded the car to make sure all my sensors are providing the right voltages for my ECU........ it worked fine.

problem solved! the screw used to adjust the tps had backed its way completely out
still running a little rough but i think i caused that screwing with stuff, should be able to have it sorted out by tomorrow.
Still wont shut off via the ignition, however thats making sure i dont leave the fuel pump running when the cars off so im okay with that haha

A possible cause is the two wires which feed the alternator on the back are upside down. B/W goes on top of W/B.

A possible cause is the two wires which feed the alternator on the back are upside down. B/W goes on top of W/B. Or the Main relay is stuck closed or the wires in the 4 wire plug at this relay are jumpered in pairs.
