Honestly I think it would be too loud...

You're talking about removing the cats, and mufflers on an engine that is very loud by design.. With my race pipe and failing mufflers it's too loud to talk on the phone while driving on the highway at 2000 rpm...

Get mufflers, save your hearing and tickets from the five oh

dude--you live in Cali....also known as the toughest emmissions state in the union. What do you think will happen at your next inspection if you chuck the cat for a straight pipe? If you drive this thing on the road at ALL, keep the emmissions **** on there. If you don't you will just end up wasting time and money when they make you get the parts replaced anyway, right?

Am I wrong in this?? I thought that Cali has a tougher set of smog laws than the other states do

great--now all you need to do is pay off the highway patrol and the local police force so when they stop you and they can't breathe when they are walking up behind your car, they won't write you a ticket to have your exhaust checked....

Move to Laredo where I live. People don't check emmissions here and the cops don't really give a ****. You see old 5.0's with straigh pipes all the time.

If I just straight pipe it from a header back to my high flo mufflers will I shoot flames. I think that would be cool. I have no emmision laws here
