straight downpipe....

have any of you turbo guys just run your downpipe out the side? or just downpipe under the car? my turbo setup is finally done but i wont be able to get the exhaust done for another week and i want to get it on the dyno asap. was running straight downpipe rediculously loud? i've run mine with just a crappy muffler on it so far using a carb that didnt work and it wasn't loud at all, but that wont work on the street so until then i just want to know if some of you have had some neat experiences running only downpipe.

Not too loud. I ran 3inch open downpipe for a little less than a month... coupled with no front bumper.

It was quite loud, but not as bad as straight pipe NA 13b's.

Anyway, you will get stares and as you idle outside restaurants, people eating inside will definitely give you a look.

I know what you're talking about. I used to think that people looked at my car because they thought it was as beautiful as I did, but it idles loud enough to hear it inside stores, and you can hear it a mile away at WOT with a 3" turboback..
