Putting the car in first gear while holding in the clutch should work. If it doesnt, I think you would have to rip it out to disable it.

There is a small thermo switch on the bottom drives side of the rad. Unplug it and jumper the wires together. That switch's only purpose is the 3K startup, and it can be safely disabled. If you want to get rid of the 1500 RPM cold idle, you need to do the throttle body mod and remove it. But I don't recommend that since the car might not idle correctly until warmed up.

Aaron cake, that sensor does not exist on S5's, IIRC.

The car is gonna smoke when you start up, and will smoke until the cats/exhaust get heated up to normal temps. Tap the throttle to get the cold start back down to 1500.

i wasnt too worried about the smoke issue because i know thats normal.. but sometimes the Accel warmup is not needed...

The difference is Aaron is right 99.9% of the time, and you are wrong 99.9% of the time. You can't compare apples to garbage.

I just pop from park to drive as soon as I start it. With mine and it stops it from going to 3000.
