rear turbo 2 housing and front n/a housing?

rear turbo 2 housing and front n/a housing?

hello, guys i posted the pics of both of my housings and as u could tell my rear housing had a tiny grove anyways the guy that did the porting job for me said he would not use such a housing, anyways i ended up buying a housing from him, i did not know it was a turbo 2 s4 housing, he says is the same but i don't know, im pissed will it decrease teh performnac eor make the car run liek ****? he also told em not to use teh secondaries, so he took them he said it would be better since is ported and i wouldn't need themn also he took the exhaust metal thingies on the holes.. you gusy think it shoudl eb ok?

well...they're not the same...I know there's supposed to be some differences between the S4 and S5 housings, and I know damn well that there's a difference between turbo and N/A housings...the N/A housing have the 5/6 ports and the turbo housings don't, I should think mixing the two would be a very bad idea...I'm not completely sure on the matter though...but I would think that mixing is bad

The front and rear housings need the same intake and exhaust ports if you want the engine to run well.

I believe he talking about the rotor housing and not the side housings. The rotor housings for the most part are interchangeable. The difference in the NA and turbo housings is the diffuser in the exhaust port. The NA has them and the turbo doesn't. Would I build a motor mixing the two? No. Would I accept a motor I paid someone else to build with a mix? No.

So you can't use intermediate or front side housings from an NA on a TII, correct? Just making sure.

From this guys first post it would appear to me that the exhaust sleeves have been removed on both housings....

So I can't see any problem in this situation mixing the two.
