Still high idle...wont decel
Well, if you dont know, yesterday i removed my Throttle body, just out of curiousity, i didnt change anything.. i hooked everything back the way it was... Reinstalled the body after cleaning it up a bit
the idle was around 2000 rpms.. so i checked around, got the idle down to 1200rpms... now when driving the car does NOT WANT TO DECEL
There is no engine brake. what did i F*ck up? man, this is a pain in the ***
The engine does not want to come back down after revvs

sounds like a vacuum leak bud. take your garden hose, have it spray a mist of water, and spray your entire engine while running to see when the idle drops, and you'll notice where your leak is.

i checked them all.. twice over.. whats strange is it use to idle high when cold. (cold start up) and it would eventually drop down when the engine warmed up. now it's reversed, it idles normal when i first start it up.. but when the engine gets up to operating temp the idle keeps climbing.. what could cause this?

I checked all vac lines, all are connected, non are missing... as a matter of fact the only Vac lines i removed when removing the TB were the two that connect to the Water thermo valve..

The thottle cable still has the same amount of slack it had when i removed the TB...
I have a question.. The vac hose that runs from the double throttle diaphram... it has a delay valve (green) it than runs to the water thermo valve... on the water thermo valve there are two nipples... does the double throttle valve vac line connect to the nipple nearest the TB? or the other nipple.. i know the second vac lines that connects to the Water thermo valve runs to the UIM.. not sure where, but if that line came dissconnected (from under the UIM) that's the only line that could have came loose (when i pulled on the coolant hose to reconnect to the TB)

lol same thing happened to me.. bleed all the small coolant hoses around the TB.. starting from the long one in the back.. it's easier if you have someone with you that can tell you when coolant starts flowing out of the hoses
if my car wasn't in the shop i'd get some pics of what i'm talking about just in case.
lol let me know if this helps
