Still heating 5psi on open exhaust and Intake (no port on wastegate)

The car has an apexi n1 cat back and an HKS filter and Im still not going over 5psi. The wastegate has not been ported either. So Im either the luckiest guy around or there is something wrong.

Its reading half way on the stock gauge on 4th at max boost and 5psi on my other gauge. Maybe the wastegate was ported but when I looked at it before installing the engine it looked stock. Either way I think it should be boosting more. I dont have an FCD so Im happy but its still weird.

The only thing I can think of is that it has a high flow cat and a muffler in between the stock DP and Apexi can.....could this be the reason why is not boosting more???

It just keeps me very nervous all the time. Dont want to pop the new engine.

Thanks

The stock cats cause the backpressure needed not to raise boost. Sounds like it's working fine.

But the thing is I dont have the stock cats. I have a highflow cat and a muffler. I do have the fat stock DP.

Oh so pretty much the stock DP is doing the trick.

Thanks
