Well sorry for asking a question man. there is no one in my city that really knows about rotary engines. Trust me ive been all around town asking, every shop every RX-7 owner and i cant get much of an answer. I myself am a mechanic but i just got the car about one year ago and i still dont know everything about the engine. i came here to try to get help. To be more specific about the problem, in every gear i have an exact 4000 rpm rev limit. no matter how hard you push the engine it just kinda bounces between the 3800 mark and the 4000 mark. If anyone needs more specifics ask, but thats all i could think of right now.

i doubt both injectors went offline, i would suspect the 5th and 6th port circuit has a problem, do a search and do some research, i am not as adept on non turbos as some around here but it 99% sounds like you need to start by checking those ports, wiring them open will be the easiest way to diagnose if they are the cause of the problem.

even if the 6 ports dont work teh car will still go up in the rpm.
check you rsecondary throttle plates the ones that are controlled by an actuator.

Thanks for the help. it runs very well under 4000, but right when it hits 4000 it will bounce between 3800 and 4000 and it sounds like it wants to go past but it just wont even if i try flooring the gas for several seconds after i hit the limit. ive been doing alot of research tonight and tommorrow ill be spending all day working on it. i believe ill try the port idea first seeing how it seems the most logical explanation but if that does not work ill continue on. ill list my findings tommorrow night if i can whether it goes well or not.
