starting promblems

okay people first of all i live in a place called canada and u dont see many rx7 around here

anyways my problem is that when i go to start my car in the mornings its good with the first try..
now once the car has started once during that day, the only way that i can start the car again is when i use my cut off switch. i have to cut the fuel and crank the **** of it until it starts and then i turn the fuel back on to keep it running..

i have a 4 month old engine in there with 15% port and over 3000kms on the engine already.i put in new spark plugs and wires. its a 1986 na rx7

what should i do or look for.

Who built it?
Did you do a compression test on the engine?

There has been a lot of talk about shady CDN rotary shops.
Did you check out the CDN sub-section?

How do you know they are good. have you had them cleaned and flow tested. If your 7 starts after sitting for a while the starter is good. If you try and start it when it is still hot or warm and it has been sitting for a while it is flooding. Classic symptom of a leaking injector..
You said it had a recent rebuild so compression shouldn't be the problem.

hey im having the same problem as you are, did you figure it out?? Starting my 7 up the first time of the day is fine, starts up at the first crank, but anytime after it reaches normal operating temp, and i turn it off, the dam thing is hard to start. I made a fuel cut switch to help start it up, and i still have to crank on it forever. Mine engine is newly rebuild by myself, has less than 50 miles on it, my injectors could be leaky but fuel cut switch should allow it to start still. Any ideas on the problem??
