It seems you have already checked/replaced the components that could be problematic, so there's not much room left for suggestions.
If you hear a click, the solenoid is activated but the starter does not turn. You replaced the starter and I assume the connections are clean. So, it could be the battery.
is your battery fully charged ?? If unsure,
I would trickle charge it and see if the problems go away.

my car started the same problem a few years ago, click, click, then start. I've replaced the battery, 2 starters, and yet the problem is still there. I've giving up and just live with it, no one seems to know the fix.

i thought it was the solenoid at first so replaced starter&starter solenoid/didnt work so tested new starter works fine ,so replaced ignition, battery still same thing so started checking grounds. it was caked up with grease so i cleaned then replaced it to. tried it and it worked for about 5 or 6 tries then same thing. next maybe it was in the power side of things so replaced all fuseable links.nothing! checked coils, crank angle senser, &relays nothing. it will crank up no problem sometimes but sometime it just click click click click then verum, verum

I have the same problem.
I have tested and replaced the alternator. It doesn't fix it. Sometimes the problem is worse than other times, but nothing to explain why.
I have checked all parts listed so far and still no luck.
Just wanted to mention it's not the alternator, before somebody spends the money on it to try.

i replaced my alt also, same problem. One thing I have noticed is I get a build up of crap on my battery terminals and battery cables, when i clean them it seems to help the problem, but never goes away totally.

I had a VERY similar starting problem when I did my engine swap in my FD.
BE SURE THAT YOU HAVE A GOOD GROUND.
I ran a separate ground from the engine to the battery. To check this quickly, take a set of jumper cables, and take the ends and connect one to the negative of the battery and with the other end, run it to the engine. Best place would be the alternator bracket. Then go and try to start your car.
Also, if your car starts up slowly and then build speed and then starts...that's one of the symptoms of a blown engine.

1. Battery connection at the battery.
2. Battery connections at the starter.
3. Ground wire connection at the long starter bolt.
4. Bad starter/indifferent starter/solenoid.
5. See the related post that complements this one.

Did you use a voltmeter and check the voltage going to the starter.. Wires do go bad. Make sure also that the cable going to the battery is good and tight. Also your engine may have seized a little. Maybe a carbon build up.
