Starting Problem

Ok here is how it is,

Last i drove my car was on easter sunday and it ran perfectly, satarted first time everything.
I have half a tank of fuel and battery is charged.

Now heres my problem,

Yesterday i went to start my car. i put the Key in and turn it over. I getnoise from the starter motor but my engine doesnt kick over So im guessing im not getting a spark. What do you think could cause this problem?
old spark plugs?
Faulty leads?

I have had enough time to check the spark plugs or leads due to working full time and having no time. But i was wondering if its not that then could it be something else?

I own a series 5 RX7 import.

Cheers
DVSONE

are you sure it's not flooded? do you have an inductive timing light to check for spark? check all the fuses?

so all you're getting is the clicking sound from the starter solenoid? what about other systems, lights and such, with the key on?

you dont. mine sounded like it wasnt even turning over but it wasnt making **** compression. just turn the key and keep the starter going and keep giving full throttle for a like 4 seconds and let off do this over and over and you should hear it start to crank over a little

If your engine is not turning but you hear your starter going, then that's the starter plunger that is not engaging. As referred in the Hayne's manual. You need a new starter.
