starting problem
starting problem
my car is kind if hard to start if it you let it sit for around 3 hours or more and sometimes you have to hold the fuel line closed to start it or in the mourning when you try to start it too and is it flooding or low compression sometimes you can get it started and at first you would have to crank it for a few seconds then it would start and now it is doing what i said at the top
If it only happens after a few hours sounds like it might be leaky injectors but I have never had this problem so..
anyway do a seach.. there is a switch you can make that will let you turn off your injectors so they won't flood.

Look for the answer by NZconvertible
And or....look at the top of this very page. See just to the right of FAQ the word Search? Click it. THEN when the search page comes up, in the blank in left type FLOODING and then in the blank to the right write NZCONVERTIBLE. Now click to search. Read the nzconvertible answers.
Or... in the Search blank to the left write Circuit Opening and then to the right , write nzconvertible. Read the answers.
And be advised.....after i got thru running my 82 RX right into the ground, it started having starting problems. Low compression was the cause. It was easier to get that car working because I could just pour a half cup of motor oil in the carb and crank it up. Fuel injection makes this harder and too much of a bother.
Do make a fuel cut switch. But also take the other advice you'll find in the threads, such as injector cleaning etc. But then again, a worn out engine ain't a gonna start much better even with new injectors if the compression has gone.

Or this: https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...light=fuel+cut
Another tack, is to write in the words BAND-AID in the left blank, and then nzconvertible in the right blank. Hmmm.
Or write in FLOODING in the left blank and ICEMARK in the right blank. Then you will get a list a mile long. Go for the first one. It's this one https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=181219 and look down that list of FREQUENTLY ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT FC'S and there is one concerning .....your problem.
