The problem with most FCs apparently is that they flood when you try to start it.

The problem with mine is the complete opposite, it won't start unless I open the throttle half-way. Any ideas?

mine does something similar. i used to have to start it with throttle open part way or it will stall.once it warms up for about a minute its fine the rest of the time. it won't surge or stall any other time. car pulls good vacuum and doesn't have any vacuum leaks(all new gaskets). now after the rebuild it will start without throttle open but still needs to be held open after start for a minute.
