removed tmic now idle problems... help guys

hey guys, so on saturday i decide to mount my front mount intercooler... my car is a jdm 1988 tII... anyways so i pulled everything off and pulled out the UIM so i could also remove the bracket for the tmic... installed everything back together now it has a really weird indle problem... it would rev from around 700 to 1200 and back down... it keeps on doing it... when the motor is warm enough it would smooth out... so i thought i was fixed, turned the car off started it back up and the weird idle is there again... i made sure all couplings are tight, made sure the UIM is tightened down... oh theres a vacuum hose that connects to the UIM and connects to the stock TMIC... i plugged that off... could that cause my idle problem? does it need to have pressure going through there? i hope you guys can help

sounds like a vac issue to me. I'd investigate any vac lines that you altered and go from there.

Spray some soapy water over all the couplers to see if maybe they's a split or leak when you take them off.

Adjust your TPS. Guaranteed that that's the problem.

sorry, what does that do? You spray water on the outside and look for water on the inside? or.... ? I don't see why there would be any visible bubbles...

Not water, soapy water. If you have a vacuum leak it will cause bubbles, basically looks like its foaming.

..... hmmmm it would foam inside the pipe? Doesn't vacuum suck in? Hard to see inside the pipes with the intercooler on.
