Starter?
When I turn the key to start my car, all it does is click.
It will do this usually a few times, then will start right up. Problem is, it hasn't started the last 2 days. It just clicks... I have replaced the wires from the battery, checked my plug wires, and tried hitting the starter a couple times.
Does it sound like I need to replace my starter.

bad starter or insufficent voltage to the starter (read bad battery, bad connection including but not limited too wires from switch and engine grounds, or failing ignition switch)
I am having the same problem and I just replaced my starter today. It's still doing that CLICKING sound. What else can it be? By the way I tried what you guys suggested, and nothing.Any other ideas?. I also had my car pushed to see if that would start my engine, but that didn't work either.I am hoping my engine isn't dead. I appreciate all your help...THANKS....THANKS!!

Autozone has a completely new battery to starter cable. It's a copy of the Mazda one. If a connection is bad, you might as well just replace the whole thing, since it's only six bucks. Kind of a hassle to install it, though.
Test that battery, Cycle. You too, Fikshun.

This may sound strange but check your air pump. My old air pump would seize up and would prevent my engine from turning over. It just made that clicking noise. Then one day my air pump seized "with it running" and the belt burnt off and I never had the problem again.

Try taking the main positive lead off the starter (about 6 gauge wire), clean it real good with a light sandpaper, and clean the bolt and nut with a wire brush. It could be as simple as dirt and corrosion on the contact at the starter.
