start issues...

86 na ok its just ran after i said my egi fuse popped and now that my capacitor ran my bat dead i recharge it and it will run the bat dead trying to start.. so i charged it way up for a few days and now its trying to start but wont quite make it. i have a fuel shutoff so its easy not to flood it. when starting it i see white smoke coming out of the muffler. real faintly misty smoke. doesnt even come out the muffler barly. and i also hear my maf flicking around when breathing trying to start. everything was A ok when shut down and wont catch spark or something now just few days after parked. i no i can roll start it but i feel that would be more harm than trying to find the problem now. any advice will help.. i read the forums but the only thing i found was rebuild or swap so i wanna avoid either one of those. i have brand new plugs, wires, engine with only 5k(brand new not rebuilt) so confused why this has happened..

Try deflooding the car, it may have flooded when you tried to start it on a weak battery.

You could also get your battery tested to see if its still in good shape.

tried many times with the battery hooked up to a charger so it seems like it cranking it pretty nicely. and as for flooding ive tried this for about 3 days now and everytime i crank out any extra fuel to prevent early spark plug deadening.. im stuck todays is my bday and i wanted to drive her out to eat tonight.. i may have to push start it maybe it can bring her back maybe it wont.. well her goes nothing..

MMO in the plug holes. it also doubles as a bug deterrent.

It's definitely flooded. That faint misty smoke is vaporized fuel. And since you kept cranking and cranking, you now have a flooded engine with little to no compression.

You will need to de-flood the car first. Pull the lower spark plugs and clean them. Leave them out and crank the car a few times, ten seconds at a time. Using a baby dropper, or something similar, put a few squirts of MMO, motor oil, or ATF in each the lower holes. Replace the plugs, but not the EGI fuse. Repeat the cranking cycle a few times. Replace the EGI fuse and try to start it.

not flooded said that once... what was wrong none of u could have known.. well i guess i did say i tried with the charger hooked up. yesterday i went out tried starting after i pulled the charger off and it started right up..maybe it created a bad circuit or something. had barely faint blueish smoke for about 2 minutes and was running good as ever.. tho i dont doubt what u guys have told me but i have a shut off and wont let it flood. thanks tho guys.

You didn't flood it when you stopped the car, you flooded it when you tried to start the car.

So you start the car with the fuel switch turned off? Excuse me, I didn't realize we were dealing with a magic car...

Next time please state that your car is magic and I will refrain from offering you any help because clearly I have no idea what I am talking about in these mystic matters.

lol, **** this guy. he can crank it for years and we will wait for him to come and say it is fixed, which won't happen or an apology to the people who tried to help him.

it's not ******* difficult to do the deflooding procedure to rule it out, what a lazy ***!

ps, dipshit, a severely flooded engine the fuel cut off switch won't deflood it... and paint your car one color, i hate panda FCs, they aren't AE88's.

if you come in with a know it all attitude and asking for help, no one is going to want to help you when you say they are wrong.

good luck getting help now.

what are you talking about? If you read his posts it started long ago, there is no way that there is a problem now! Things NEVER change!

We were just wrong and have to face the fact that our many years of working on these cars is useless. I think I have finally come to realize that the problems faced with an older car is not the car wearing out, it must just be me sleep wrenching on the car and causing problems.
