Stance Coilover Owners Please...

Do you have any trouble with your front springs making poping binding noises durring sharp turning? Most pronounced when turning low speeds such as parking ramps or U-turns.

I know two of us (myself included) are having issues with these things. I want to see if we are the only ones and perhaps we have front assemblies from a bad batch of BAD pillowball mounts or something.

Sound off all who have stance coilovers on thier FC....

I will be contacting stance about this and I want to be able to give them a number of other people who are experiencing the same thing.

Thanks

my right rear does up certain driveways at certain speeds, but other than that I have no complaints about mine.

I have some JIC's that do that as well. I think they're just dirty or something.

there was a thread exactly like this on zilvia.

its the pillowball not turning, but the shock body is turning while the shaft is staying in place, not the whole coilover unit turning like it should

a bunch of 240 guys had this problem, a few of them have actually recieved fixed replacement top plates.
a few guys impacted the top nut a little and got it to stop.

maybe some bad pillowballs got into the fc plates too.

contact them about it and they should take care of you.

I was one of the first people to receive the Stance coilovers for our cars. What have they been doing for me since I had received them? Mostly collecting dust with the acception of the last few months they've been mounted on my Rx that are on jackstands.

As soon as my car kickstarts these coilovers I'll be happy to report back to this thread.

The only problems I had with my stance was that the rear strut boots rubbed the hub assembly.

I noticed that too with regard to the rears. The shock body still spun inside the bottom boot with no issues so i just ignored it. Im sure it rubbed the paint off a little but it seemed to clear just fine otherwise.

I got a response back from stance very quickly. They are getting in replacment upper mounts and it sounds as though they will take care of this problem. "Bad batch of pillowballs" is what i was told.

AH HA! I called them with this issue and they said that I installed them incorrectly and that is why they rubbed! I asked for new bottoms and they said I would have to pay for them. Eff that. It's good to hear I'm not the only one with the issue.
