Stalls out then floods???
I have a second gen. non turbo. Ok so I have had this problem for awhile now and it's getting worse. I drive my car to work early in the morning with no problem. On the way home it always wants to stall about about the second or third stop light after I'm off the highway. Sometimes it will start right up and go but as the problemc has gotten worse with time it floods and won't start unless I put my foot to the floor to get it going now sometimes its ok and drives fine after that but most of the time if i let the rpms drop it stalls again. This problem seems to be tempature related as I notice no problems when it's cold.

ok, so, i seem to be the only one that will be willing to attempt an answer. a little backstory, when i first bought my 2nd gen s5, it had all SORTS of problems.
first, check the AFM (air flow meter), if thats good, 1 prob eliminated.
next, check ALL of the vacuum lines that you can touch without taking anything apart, again, if good, another problem gone.
next, check the TPS (throttle positioning sensor) with an ohmmeter, when idle, i do believe it should sit at 1V. then check the idle skrew on top of the throttle body, mess with that and see if it doesnt do anything
THEN, and if ONLY THEN, you got a MAJOR big *** leak somewhere.
mine pretty much had that problem, my solution, order ALL NEW intake gasgets, new vacuum hoses (a few expensive plastic items that broke), and i rebuilt my entire intake, and powdercoated it
but, try stuff, dont just rebuild it unless you either know what the hell you are doing or are just bored enough to put a weekend of work into getting it running like a racecar!
i SERIOUSLY hope that helped
PEACE

i hope you have resolved your problem, but here is what i fixed the same problem in my 87 n/a.
conector for the CAS was coroding. shot of contact cleaner and some dielectric grease. done.
most of my problems have been electrical in nature. bad conections.
now its the first thing i check.
hope this helps.
