Stabbing the CAS help

Oke.. new motor. trying to get the damn CAS to fire the damn plugs..

If i remove the CAS.. ground the plug turn the key into 'ign' and spin the cas.. plug fires..

now if I stab it in like you're suppose to lined up on yellow line two points lined up on the CAS.. and jab it in. then move it so that it's how it was before i stabbed it in.. i'm not getting any spark.. what could be causing this??!?!?

thanks..

The gears are causing it to rotate out of the range you need. Sometimes you have to back up or advance one tooth in order to get it to line up.

Here is what I did. I took off the cap of the CAS. Then I lined up the dots like you are doing. After its lined up, I marked the CAS rotor (for lack of a better description) and the housing with a marker. Then I put the CAS in. you will see that once you put the CAS in, the marks wont line up anymore. If you have to go back or forward a tooth, this will help you to line them up again. Ultimately, you want the CAS installed and the marks lined up.

COnfused yet?

no not at all that sounds like a good idea.. better than the eyeballing attempts i was doing.. I really don't want to go out there again but damn I will probably just to try anything. I'm just dumbfounded how I get spark when it's out.. but when i put it in and watchthe spark plug. it's not sparking. like the CAS isn't spinning..

if this doesn't work .. i'm going to redo my TDC lines and see if setting the timing to TDC will get it to spark.. I read in one of HAILERS post about watching the rear rotor when the apex seal passes the trailing plug.. mark it. then when it's at the leading plug mark it again and TDC is in the middle of that for the front rotor.. hehe.. or something like that

Well, the upshot to taking the cover off is, you can watch it to see if it spins!

well, it spins just fine and it's no longer the cas that i'm having problems with.. now it's the starter. atleast when I start turning the motor over with the starter it's cutting the ignition where the cas isn't sparking the plug anymore.. ahh this is fun hehe really.

Woo.. ECU codes
3 - CAS (G signal)
13 - Pressure sensor (intake manifold pressure)

now I wish I knew why I was getting a code 13 since i never had a problem with that when i blew my motor or atleast that I knew of.. hrmm .
