do u hear any compressor surge?

u didn't say how much boost or ur bov placement

cuz if the boost is low, and ur bov is on the cold side.. the IC and piping might be absorbing most of the air and not leaving much "shockwave" to pass through the bov

I know my blitz on my TII makes no sound at 5 psi boost on TMIC even..

need at least 10psi for it to make sound. (then it's pretty loud)

dunno how sensitive the low boost valve on the HKS unit is tho...

i've yet to install mine...

tryrunning the line off of a nipple/line that is on the motor side of the throttle body

Are you driving the car around at all? Becasue if your just revving it, it will take quite a big rev to get it to blow off (so that its audible).

It needs at least 8psi to open and even then its not loud at all.
In my opinion a BOV on a stock setup or at least at stock boost is the biggest waste of money.
I usually put cosmo or FD BOV's on my customers cars and they are quite happy with them.
the stock TurboII BOV starts to open and bleed boost at about 6psi or so.
I can't tell you how many cars people have brought me that are fairly stock under the hood with a Boost controller setup for 10psi.
As soon as the car starts to boost there is a large amount of air is already being released from the BOV from the pressure. The when you shift it just barely blows off since it was already half open.
When I swap to a Cosmo or FD BOV it stays closed at 10PSI until a release of the throttle body then it blows off loud as hell. but even those bleed off at more than 11-12 psi. It kind of sounds like an Apex BOV. Just a nice loud smooth rush of air when the FD or csmo BOV opens up.
That's my 2 cents

^^^^

put your hand over the bov and do a rev and guess what!

it is not a overboost control valve, the vac line pushes the valve close under boost, and when you let off, the vacuum opens the valve

boost pretty much has nothing to do with it, ESP in a ssqv!

Not from my experience. If there isn't enough boost to push that spring open than it's not going to give the desired results.
But thats only form my experience of playing with turbo cars for about 6 years now. So I guess I'm a noob.
