This was covered in two threads posted in the past couple of days, it will not be sufficient for high horsepower applications. Here is a link that brings you to both threads

it's a lil odd. most person who own srt-4 on the stock turbo. can only hit about 280WHP TOPS before changing out the intercooler, changin it out to a much bigger cooler one will bump them to the 300WHP Mark, of course that's on the stock turbo. now the biggest restriction of course is the turbo on the srt-4. at 280-300WHP the turbo is Way passed it's effiecy range. so most srt owners KNOW it's a restriction due to it not being able to cool the overly hot on comming air.

now it is understood that the stock intercooler is A VERY effiecnt one. and Cools alot of on comming air to a certin degree. but once tempitures hit a certain point the intercooler can't handel the load

Now mind you at the same time the the owners understand that they are running the turbochargers WAY PAST it's efficienty points. the stock srt-4 boost peaks at 14psi and ends at 11 PSI at redline and that already at great effiecy point. most 300WHP SRT are pushing 23 peak 19PSI redline.

besides pushing an adition 9-7PSI out of the turbo the total flow of the system is usually upgraded. i.e. exhaust, intakes, the usual.

Now... I have seen 430WHP on the stock intercooler using a different turbo all togeather and i've also seen it on paper.. it seems the stock intercooler is best designed to Reduce the amount of pressure drop and to produce the most amount of flow. the cooling portion isnt the best of the best but it is by far MUCH BETTER then most other stock intercoolers in other production veichles. it seems the the intercooler is very capable of cooling alot of hot air even near maxing the stock TDO4-15G turbocharger on the stock SRT-4.

too hot of air, it seems that the intercooler struggles to cool a lil bit. with the right amount of temp midrange and all, the intercooler will shine.

seems the intercooler has it's own efficiencies points.

it should be able to handle 450HP or 675 CFM worth of air. it should be able to hold it's pressure and reduce drop as seen in other intercoolers.

a down side is that the intercooler can only cool @ the Maximum average Turbo effiecieny point. and is horrible at cooling anything more.

Thanx for the info, I won't be having too much hp anyway. Just figured since I can pick up one for a decent price ill throw it on,, but I was wondering if anyone has ever used it on a fc. To see if it would involve a lot of modifying, if so ill scratch the idea
