Exclamation springs
Is it possible to use the FD springs from a third gen without modifacations. It looks to me that just looking at the springs for both FD and FC that they are alike!!

Yes, actually it's recommended on rebuild to use FD springs and Corner seals on your FC rotors. dDub posted awhile back a parts list of everything you need to do a $500 rebuild and where to get the parts.
