Unhappy spring life

hi all,

i have a mostly stock 89 TII that i autocrossed this year. i was looking at some videos of my car on the same course as a some other FCs and it has worse body roll than celica. sometimes the inside rear wheel even comes off the ground. the wheels rub on the inside of the front fenders in hard cornering too.

i replaced the struts and shocks a while ago and at the time was running a RB front sway bar, so the only thing left are the springs. does anybody have any idea how long springs are supposed to last?

i would think springs would last the life of the car...

but if i were you... id be looking into changing out most of the old rubber bushings for some new urethane bushings...

sure that the sway bar end links are still connected, they can come loose and cause excessive body roll and crappy autocross performance and lots of inner tire spinning (don't ask how I know)...

Yes check your suspension linkages, but yes springs have a lifetime, and for my 87 GXL they sure were up. I pulled the springs out and replaced with eibach pro-kit springs and in comparison the eibachs (1.2" drop i think) actually lifted my car about a half inch. So yeah my stock springs at least were saggedto hell.

Also didn't help my shocks squirted oil out the seals when depressed
