Spoiler mount point (this time pic is attached)

Ok, this time I had a digital camera with me so I have a picture.

All but these pair of points are accounted for. I'm wondering what kind of fastener attaches to that point (look at the attached pic). I couldn't find anything in the fasteners that came off the car that appear to fit that point.

What is it?

Better pic, with part outlined in red

Ok, I guess you couldn't see the first pic very well to know what I was talking about. So, here's a better pic of the part in question, with the insert outlined in red, and circled.

Thanks. I know the lighting isn't very good, nor does black photograph very well.

But does anyone know what kind of fastener is used on that part of the spoiler? I think this particular spoiler is an S5 (my original spoiler was cracked and broken and had to be replaced). There are 8 holes where the spoiler mounts to the body.

We know about 6 of those points. But it's the last 2, at the rear corners of the spoiler to the body, that we don't know about. It looks like either some large keyed nut or bolt attaches at that point, but I'm not sure what (I only know it's not in the shop). I've looked at the 89-91 FSM and I found nothing that indicates anything mounts at those two points at all. I got nothing on the 86-88 body section or parts catalog.

Otherwise, we'll just improvise something for that last pair of points.

There are just clips that twist unto the spoiler and clip into the body. If you go to your local Mazda dealer they should have it on their database. I think they cost anywhere between 5-15 dollars apiece. I would give you a picture but I am not at home right now. If you stil are having problems I will pull of the spoiler tommarrow and take a picture for you. However the Mazda dealer should know what you are talking about. Marc
