speedometer doesnt go below 7 mph

Ive noticed that my speedometer is reading a little fast, like 8mph above what Im going. then today I noticed that when Im stopped the speedometer never drops to 0 all the way. is there some way to adjust it or could it be a problem with the cable? dont know exactly what could cause it. I have stock wheels and tire size. and its an 87

hahahhaaaa....i'd like to see u explain that to a cop....then show him the speedo while dead stopped.....and tell him....i honestly have no idea i was speeding...

i'd say look at the speedo cable on the tranny.....but i doubt it would be something like that

I think even with gauge faces the needles arent supposed to be removed. I think they just slide under the needles, maybe if the needles were removed youd have to recalibrate them.

no its all stock, i have taken the guages out a couple times to mess with the logicon and crap but the cable is snapped in right. i also had a problem last year, it would not read above 100, i would hit 100 and keep accelerating but the speedo wouldnt raise

sounds like either the needle has been bumped/moved or you have a bad speedo cable.

Yes, you just have to remove the cover, and then push it down or up the face as needed or pull off the speedo needle and reset it.

Do not pull off the small gauge (oil/water/gas/etc) needles though. You will bust the gauge and many people do not have the abilities to fix the gauge then.

You would need to re-wire the gauge harness to use the smaller S5 gauges.

I have posted a couple times on what pins to move, and I think Kevin may even have it on his website
