speed ceiling???

is there a computer generated "ceiling" on a 86 GXL
i know there prolly isnt, but why would i top out a 110?
i got to 110 pretty fast, but then i was still flooring it and it just stayed there for like 3 minutes, then i had to slow down cause of the road, but its kinda annoying when a v6 rustang passes you at 100 and i couldnt catch him

I NEED TO AVENGE MY 7!!!!

There is no "ceiling" you may need to give your car a tune up and if your car is stock like the sig says then you have some work to do before you get up there...

I got my 88 vert to 130 on a very cold night going "slightly" downhill, but she stayed there when the road leveled out .

You gotta wind that sucker out. 5th gear is going to kill your acceleration, so you need to be as deep into your power range as possible before going to 5th. Shift it at redline, and you'll see better results.

Now, WTF are you doing at 110 on public streets? Take this **** to the track!

90!?!?!? dood you can get up to 110 easily in 4th gear....bring that **** up as far as you can, then shift to 5th, like Silk said, 5th has hardly any acceleration so you've got to get as much out of 4th as you can...

check your injectors! try again shifting at redline in 4th. 5th gear sucks for acceleration. in even forced induction vehicles.

I hit 110 in fourth gear at 6000 rpms. Then I started going up a small hill and had to slow down because I caught up to my friend. But somewhere around 105 the car started to shake like a mother, more than I have ever felt in any vehicle. It was a very solid shake through out the whole car. Does any one have a remedy for that.

Thanks
Ryan
