Hey guys so i recently Just dropped a rebuilt s4 into my vert and am having some inconsistent issues. For instance i swapped It at a friends and wasn’t getting spark the tach wasn’t working, i switched The trailing coil pack, spark plugs, even grabbed an ecu from the junkyard and it fixed it enough for me to drive home which is about a 20min drive. Now that it’s home I’m having the same spark issue it’ll turn over forever and just not start, I’ve unflooded it multiple times, adjusted timing, checked for vacuum leaks fixed all the grounds. Basically ran over everything to make sure i did It all okay, and still having the weird issue. I moved The car into my back yard two days ago and it drove fine. Now that it’s in my back yard it will not start and it’s having the no spark, and tach issue.

 

Check the CAS. It usually fails at the connector.
