Wink no spark

my dads was driving his car and it died all of a sudden and it is not making spark and i chaged the cap and rotor and it still is not anyone know whats eles it could be

No spark on leading or trailing (top and bottom plugs)? Or both?

Start with the plugs and work your way back.
-plugs-wires-cap-rotar-ignitors-coilwires-coils-

If it just dies it is probably the secondary coil...did the tach die as well??

theres no spark on the trailing the leading ones are working

It is either your secondary coil($20 part) or it is your secondary ignitor($120 part)
Check your coil 1st...and cross your fingers

You can change out the igniters to GM HEI for about $16 each... I'm running them on my '83 with no problems. There are several posts on how to do this.
