sorry, CAS adj???
the search function isnt working for me so i have to ask.
i just lined up the yellow marker on the pully now, on to the CAS i have the cover off for double check, when i line up the pointer at the bottom under the cover the pin with the timing mark is at the edge of the black plastic piece. im having trouble putting the CAS back in the pointer possition. SO do i stick the CAS back in and put the top pointer back at the edge of the black plastic pieace.
sorry for the 2nd grade descripition let me know if i sound retarded i dont know anything about timing and the manual isnt helping me any

You post is a little hard to follow
Here is what I do to stab the CAS:
Put the pulley to leading mark (yellow).
Take the black lid off the CAS.
Pull out CAS.
Align the 'pointer line' on the bottom of the CAS body with the little dot on the CAS tooth gear.
Keep this position by holding the CAS wheel in place.
Stab CAS.
The CAS might want to rotate a little bit when it snaps into place, but you just adjust than once you are ready to re-time the engine with a timing gun...

When I stabbed my CAS it took me a while to get it where I wanted it. I wanted the CAS stabbed in so that the stud for the retaining nut was in the center before adjustment. This gives you more room to adjust in both directions if you need to. The first couple times I stabbed it I could get it back to where the CAS gear ( on top should be lined up with the dimple on the bottom) but could only reach that by rotating the CAS body one extreme. So I kept trying to get it to be centered first before adjustment. Hope that makes sense.
