Angry Someone help me with these Damn Brake Rotors

How in the hell do I get these freaking things off? I got the calipers off, I got those piece of **** mounting screws off (2 per brake rotor) thanks to an Impact Driver. Now do I just beat the **** out of these things till they break loose? On the rear do I need to take the center locking nut off?

Any tips or methods, please advise.

By the way I have the 4 piston brakes on the front and the vented ones on the back. Same as T2.

Thanks.

What about the locking nut on the back? Does this need to come off before the rotors come off? @1.5 " Nut in the center...

No, that nut is for the hub not the rotor.

Have you taken your rotors off before? If not, I hope your mounting screws are not as tight as mine were. It brought my project to a screaming hault, I stripped the **** out of them. So I had to run to Sears and get myself an Impact driver. That thing saved my ***. So now I gotta smack these rotors off and put it all together. While I was at it, I hooked up my RB Stainless Brake Lines and Painted my Calipers Red. I think the red paint added atleast 15 HP.

I did this last year, and had the same problem. What I ended up doing was heating until red hot, then banging on them with the biggest hammer I could fine. Not a little wussy hammer, a man's hammer. At least 25 pounds. Popped right off.

I took them off less than a year before when i changed the brakes. Now both calipers, rotors and pads are shot in the front!!! I have new screws sitting here for the rotor. You guys sure it is not 3 per rotor in the front? I plan to go down to the store to buy those tool where you bang it to untighten the screw since i dont have air tools

There are only two screws. Drill them out and then get new ones.

Ya, mine only had 2 screws on the front and three holes on the rear with 2 screws. I've heard that these mounting screws aren't necesary, they were used during the assembly of the car to keep the hubs on while the car traveled down the assembly line. Let me know if anyone has any insight on this.

Also the 3rd hole on the rear without the screw can be used to pop the rotor off by screwing another bolt into it or something, is that right?

You do NOT need the screw.

You do not need to remove the large nut in the center of the rear hubs to remove the rear rotors.

banging on it will eventually get it off, but if you notice, there's a second hole in the rotor, opposite the screw hole. If you take the screw, and screw it down in that hole, the rotor will pop right off.

Yee ha! I got my rotors off without a hitch, new ones are on and now I am waiting for the paint to dry on the calipers. That G-2 caliper paint works pretty well, I wonder how long it will last.

Anodized? Where would I get that done, and how would it look? Is it expensive?

Thanks for the help everyone!

Getting it done would be fairly expensive. Doing it yourself would not be.
It looks sweet as hell.
