New Turbo II Owner

Hey folks...

I just picked up an '87 Turbo II to go along with my '93 Touring. If anyone follows the classifieds on the forum, I bought the 700 dollar beauty.

Pics available here: http://www.offsitens.com/rx7/turbo2.htm

I have been gathering info on a 20b swap, but I don't know when or if that will happen.

It looks like I could put together a nice 12 second car for only a couple grand, so we'll see what happens.

I'll check the archives and do some searching before I start asking questions.

Tell ya' what... I'll cut you a killer deal.

Once you get that 20B in and running well, I'll trade my cherry 89 TII for the 87. Deal? What guy, I tell ya, what a guy!

Heh. Anyway, congrats on a, uh, "nice" purchase

Did you pick that up local? Guess I should peruse the classifieds more often.
Cool find!

I replaced my passenger side fender in about 5 hours. The toughest part is removing the 12 and 14mm nuts and bolts twards the front. The bumper does not have to be removed if you have a nice assortment of small tools, which I urge you to buy if you are going to do all that swapping.

The driver's door?? I have no idea! but that damage does not look so bad for $700 bux.

*Edit* You can use any fender from any 86-88 mazda rx7. Some of them are missing the mud flap, and the hard one to find is the one with the TII sticker, which you can buy the sticker for like $15 from www.mazdatrix.com

Make sure you check out www.car-part.com!!! Its a searchable junkyard database for any car! I pulled up 150+ fenders for an 86-88 rx7 when I was looking for a new fender. i even got my color.

Cool find!
Found it on the forum actually... I picked it up in San Ramon. 60 miles, so not too bad.

Its more comfortable than my FD, but feels like a big slug on the road. The only mod is a downpipe right now, but I'll be adding a mod or 2 shortly.

It's an awesome daily driver. I'm fixing a few things, but for the most part its in great shape.
