There is no software to remap the FC's stock ECU. To do anything like this will require an upgrade to a full standalone EMS, or a modified stock ECU like the RTek.

what is the software used for mapping ECU if it even exists:
This means he probably wants to mess with the fuel maps in order to get more performance.
InitialD had something like this:
This means if it's on TV it must be true.

yeah, and there is no software for the stock ECU which is why I told the guy to get a standalone, megasquirt or Rtek. There were some people here that were trying a while back but the Rtek came out before they finished and their project was scrapped.

There is an "Engine Management" section on this forum that has a lot of info on the various EMS options.
The RTek really isn't a standalone, it's a modified stock ECU that gives you some limited controls. It still relies on (worn out) 20 year old stock wiring and sensors.

I believe my car has a Techtom ROM tune (according to the previous owner). It's similar to Rtek in that a memory chip is attached to the stock ECU to modify the AFR, fuel cut, etc..

You can control fuel and timing with it and data log. Works plenty good fine. Buy one. The 2.1 or 2.0 version, not the chip.
