hmm.. interesting... a 16:1 ratio actually ran? I would think that it would be too little fuel

1 ounce per gallon is about right. That is what I run in my car. The oil in the yellow bottle (cant remember name, dont feel like goin out to my car) is the best ive found. Its full synthetic, 2-cycle. It costs around $3.20 a quart. Does smell interesting though. My car smells like my dads boat. But then it is running outboard motor oil. The little bottle with all the measurements on it is also the most helpful thing when filling up. You dont wanna just add a little and it look good. Actually measure it out. It has ratios for whatever you want on there. It is in Wal-Mart also in the boating section i think. Hope this helps you guys out some.

5.) I was wondering if that oil has any problems with clogging and/or damaging the catalytic converter? I think thats the oil that i heard was best for Pre-mixing and I want to try it out and probably will.

Oh BTW, I'm just asking for knowledge sake, I don't think my Cat is working.

Do we need yet another premix topic? Aside from the writeups in the Archives, a simple search for "premix" would probably have turned up more info then would ever be needed...All premix topics end up exactly the same...

Id GUESS that a good ratio would be probably 1oz of premix per 2-3 gallons of fuel... again, i dont think it matters too much though, just keep the ratio within reasonable limits and youll be fine. By reasonable i mean DONT put a gallon of premix in 4 gallons of fuel...

So whats that, 32:1 to 48:1... Anywhere from 30:1 to probably 100:1 is fine
32:1? 32 parts fuel to 1 part premix? That's......let's see 4 oz per gallon of fuel?
48:1 is 2.67 oz per gallon of fuel?

Isn't that just a bit too much?

I'm still trying to debate whether 100:1 (1.28 oz per gallon) or 128:1 (1 oz per gallon) is optimal. Most people seem to use 128:1.
