Question Solid "Beeeeep" (no pauses) ???

Ok,

Here's the problem. A while ago I put a custom steering wheel on my baby, I must have screwed up the steering sensor or something. Took the wheel off, checked it, saw nothing. Then Last year I went off to start another year of college, the car wasn't in the budget. So it sat for the latter year. Couple of days ago I get home from the summer job (out of town job) and pull the car out. As I remember, days before I put the car in storage the 5 beeps with pauses inbetween had changed to a solid, continueous beeeeeep. This beep isn't in the manual, and yes, i've checked the FAQ for the FC and it's not listed under these suggestions either. The cars on the way to see the Mazda dealership as I type this message, but in the case that the meathead mechanics over there can't figure it out does anyone have a suggestion?

PS. New club layout and colors look great. Good job bst'd and Jay.

Try pulling the plug off of the power steering computer under the dash near the steering column to see if that helps...Of course, you'll probably have to put it back on to drive, but at least that might tell ya where the beeping is coming from...

Mutilple beeps are from the steering wheel improperly installed, the single long buzzer is from low oil or low coolant.

Lol, you think he may not know the difference between the beeper and the buzzer, Mark?

I guess that would be the next question that needs to be answered...

The low coolant/Oil is a buzz, correct wayne, and thanks for stateing the obious This certainly is not a buzz, it's the same beep as the pattern beeper, only it's continueous with no pauses.
