so i did a turbo conversion....
Here is the full rundown:
1987 N/A gxl 5-speed rebuilt s4 n/a engine
Ported lower s5 tii intake manifold with block off plates
Upper s5 tii intake manifold and s5 throttle body with s4 tps
S4 tii fuel injectors
S5 tii fuel rails and fpr
Denso tii fuel pump
S4 n318 pressure sensor and maf meter
omp delete running premix
s5 rebuilt/reman turbocharger and manifold
AN braided oil feed line to turbo
s5 tii front cover
s5 turbo oil drain line
coolant lines ran to turbo
Stock intercooler mounted front with intercooler piping
N/a engine electrical harness
Aem wideband o2
Apex'i safcII
Throttle reads 100% at 1/4 throttle. I know why though. My problem is when i tie the gray wire into the brown and red stripe wire, so my throttle can read through the pressure sensor, the safc reads 33.8% throttle and does not respond to applying throttle. Any ideas? I cannot tune my turbo conversion 7 without having 100% throttle at full throttle response. Thanks in advance...

Dumb? I am all but that. I read about doing the rewire on the safc on THIS forum. Just because you have a 7 that was tuned by somebody else, doesnt make you a damn expert. Calling people dumb for asking questions is an ******* move.

I've seen your previous posts, you definitely aren't very smart. I recognize your username specifically because of how slow you seem to be.
I know exactly what you were trying to do, but you went about it in a very wrong way. All you have to do is tie into the cars map signal instead of the cars throttle signal while still sending that signal to the throttle input on the safc. There are no crossing wires, the FC ecu can't read the map sensor as its throttle sensor.
Just wire the SAFC normally as that simple mod is obviously beyond you.

The safc is wired normally. When i tried to do the map sensor mod, it read a steady 33.8% with no fluctuation. That is why i am stumped. I wired it correctly, but it is not doing what it is supposed to do.

Instead of making people feel like crap for asking questions, why not help them figure out what the problem could be? Unless its just in your nature to be mean to people who have the same car as you. Im sure you started out the same way. Im not some dumbass punk kid looking for people to do the work for me. Im simply trying to do it all my self with help from people who actually want to help.

I guess what im trying to find out is:
When wired to the map sensor, will it give the throttle % range im looking for on the safc? Will the throttle be true to the pedal range, or since its not wired to tps, will i even see the values change?

There is indeed a way of using the Boost sensor in lieu of the TPS. Been there done that in a past life but I just don't right now remember how to solve your problem.
Just reinforcing your idea of using the boost sensor input in lieu of the TPS input.
Buy a RTEK2.0 to really resolve your problems. We're in our third RECOVERY SUMMER, so money should be plentiful for you buying the RTEK2.0. If money is not plentiful......then maybe RECOVERY SUMMER is just bs. Just wait thru the next four or five RECOVERY SUMMERS and maybe you'll be able to afford the RTEK.
RECOVERY SUMMER........is a political term that can be looked up with GOOGLE in case your not familiar with the term.

FYI
Are you using a non turbo boost sensor or a Turbo boost sensor?
And be SURE your boost/pressure sensor is connected to a true vacuum source. Not all nipples are vacuum.
NON turbo cars boost/pressure sensors output 3.5 to 4.0 vdc at IDLE.
TURBO cars boost sensor outputs 2.8 TO 3.2 vdc at idle.
Your not going to get much of a change in the SAFC reading unless your actually in boost. Reving in the driveway won't accomplish that. Gotta drive under LOAD.

Ooops, my bad. You've a series five ECU so do like the man above said. Connect the TPS to the TPS full range input to the ECU. A B/G wire at the ECU plug (series five ECU plug). See wiring diagram.
Full range reads...........zero input to 100 percent TPS. Seems the SAFC for a series five woulda said that/shown that.

If you are trying to use the MAP signal, your MAP signal must be reading a pressure change to see a change on the SAFC readout.
IOW, if you are not seeing a change in the output with the engine not running, this would be the correct behavior. You need to Benin boost to see a change

you have 2 options.
1. electrical. its either not hooked up correctly, or the MAP sensor is bad. with the key on engine off you should be able to blow and suck on the vacuum line to the map sensor and it should change.
2. mechanical. the MAP sensor isn't hooked up to a port that sees a signal, or the hose is plugged
3. wild card; the SAFC could be bad or have an incorrect setting i guess.

Got the widerange on the tps to work with some modification.
Pretty much used s5 turbo tps wired up to s4 3 prong connector. I now get wide range throttle from 0%-100% according to throttle pedal. I will make a writeup so everyone can see what i did.
