so i cracked my water pump housing on my TII

well i cracked my water pump housing and now i need to gte another one, but here is my question, are s4Tii and s5Tii water pump housing the same or different? please let me know bc im about to buy a housing and need to know..thanks once again

ok i have an s5 motor with a s4 mechanical oil metering pump , so would i have to get a s5 housing or s4?

just put it on there and you'll see whats different and the same. sheesh.

They differ in the thermo neck, since the S4's are metal and have a different bolt pattern than the plastic S5's. If you have the front cover off of an S4 (thus the mechanical OMP), you probably had an S4 water pump on there, altho i think (but am in no way certain) that the themostat neck is the only difference between S4 and S5 water pumps. Which do you have on there now?

Edit: I believe that the S4's also needed a spacer between the water pump and the engine, whereas the S5's didnt. however, IIRC the mounting stud pattern is the same.

what does the OMP have to do with any of this? the OMP goes on the front cover, not on the water pump housing. if you have a metal coolant neck you have an s4
