cezonetheillest: Buddy of mine brought it back from japan when he was stationed there. I think it is a custom one off 240 sx lip.

all of you guys are sooo worried about looks, I had my stock bumper cut more than that. Its a wonder there are only a handful of 400hp+ FCs. Put down some numbers then you can talk.

But do you have a belly button? That is the real question here...

Here is a functional FMIC setup

Isuzu NPR IC placed inches ahead of the radiator under that top bar the hood prop lays on.

The front bumper path is not blocked and the oil cooler still gets plenty of air.

All those flashy FMIC's placed up front just block ALL of your air going to the rad/oil cooler but deflecting it before it even gets into the ducting.

I guess we'll just have to take your word on that since absolutely nothing you mention is actually visible in the pic...

Im not sure what any of you are talking about!!!! I went from factory TMIC. To an old school RE Amemiya SMALL FMIC which sat behind bumper support and required no bumper cutting. Coolants temps didnt rise, while AIT's dropped obviously. THEN I went to a larger 24x12x3 intercooler which sat way up front and cut bumper to fit...Again, coolant temps didnt rise, while AIT's once again dropped...go figure.

So how did I get all of this rubbish? I studied the Haltech engine data page!!!

OH yeah...making sure you do all your ducting work helps too.

thats personally the best setup for a FMIC, i love the way it looks so neet, if only u didnt hav the red, but its personal opinion the colour. nice big front mount there, radiator and oil cooler would be fine, less cooler piping=less lag. and wen u look from the front u cant even see it, less police attraction.
cheers for the best setup mate

Noel Caraballo.
that front bar looks discusting.
mate watever FMIC you have you shouldnt need to cut anything at all.
the FMIC i hav is off an 86 R31 Skyline. its not to suit at all.
but iv made it to suit, no cuttin of anything, the A/C is still there, everything has remained in the normal position. only thing now is u can see this massive cooler sitting in behind the front bar.
and i have had no issues at all wit over heating.
cheers mate
P.S. think b4 u go chopping up bars.

That kinda worries me a little about over heating. I have had no issues yet though. Just kinda figured save money from buying a t2 hood.

At least you didnt cut out the trim strip, that looks much worse.

Also, everyone, please, make sure you get as much air to cool your IC end tanks as possible.
